Harriston Horticultural Society and Senior's Centre unveils 'Tree of Life' memorial gate
MINTO – The Harriston and District Horticultural Society and the Harriston Senior’s Centre unveiled this wrought iron gate by the shuffleboard court at the senior’s centre on Oct. 26 in memory of Margaret Weber.
Her grandson Chris Allan made a generous donation to the horticultural society in her memory and the club wanted to erect some sort of memorial.
Glen Worsley created the gate that features a “tree of life.”
Other names can be added to coloured leaves, that will be engraved and installed when other significant contributors to the organizations die, turning this little gate into a community memorial tree.
