HARRISTON – Whites Road Pentecostal Church wrapped up Pastor Appreciation Month by paying tribute to Reverend Bill Brown and pastors Jim and Shirley Morrison on Oct. 26. “Bill Brown gave his heart to the Lord at age eight and never looked back,” officials say. After Bible College he went on to pastor in MacTier and Drayton. He also worked with Robert McEachern Fuels Ltd.  Jim and Shirley served the Lord in Wingham, Coatsworth, Forest and on reserves including Kettle Point and Cat Lake in northern Ontario. The Morrisons would fly into Cat Lake and serve the community for five weeks at a time. “They were very involved in preaching, teaching, Sunday School, Women’s Ministry, counselling and visitation,” officials stated. Jim was also a dairy farmer and Shirley a teacher for many years. Whites Road Pentecostal Church pastor Brad Sumner said, “As inspiring as it was to hear about their past, I must say that I am just as inspired by how they continue to serve the Lord in the present.”
