HEIDINGA, Melinda (Linker)

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Melinda Heidinga (Linker) of Palmerston, peacefully at the Royal Terrace Nursing Home, on Sunday, October 18, 2025 in her 65th year: Beloved mother of Matthew Heidinga of Palmerston and Stephen and Heather Heidinga of Courtice. Cherished grandmother of Ainsley, Hailey and Olivia. Sister of Dan and Linda Linker, Sheila Linker, Lisa and Larry Baker. Fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by her parents Bart (2001) and Tina (2018) Linker and niece Amanda Linker (2008). The family would like to thank the Pavel family, Christy White, Jackie Johannes, the Royal Terrace and her many friends at the Presbyterian Church for their support throughout her journey. Her strong faith sustained her throughout her illness and brought her comfort and peace until the end. To honour Melinda’s wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service of remembrance will be held in the Knox Presbyterian Church, 315 Main Street West, Palmerston, Ontario on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at 11:00am. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Palmerston Foodbank would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to the Heritage Funeral Home, Palmerston.
