How the Grinch keeps the tradition of bringing holiday spirit in Elora
The Grinch in Elora - It may have been a tough year, but the Grinch will not steal Christmas in Elora this year because the tradition of family-fun continues on the front lawn of the Benham family, located on Wilson Crescent, bringing holiday cheer to all. The Grinch (Gerald Benham) has a full lawn display of characters as well as a large screen playing the original cartoon of How the Grinch Stole Christmas (aided by Sue Benham). To the delight of onlookers, the Grinch himself makes an appearance and acts out the scenes. The Benhams have been doing this every Christmas for about 10 years, adding new hand-painted wooden displays over time. The much-anticipated event began on Dec. 19 and will run every night from 6 to 9pm until Dec. 24. The public is invited to come watch the Grinch, from a safe distance, and enjoy the show.
