Kat Florence Hotel summer market opens

ELORA – The Kat Florence Hotel summer market officially opened on May 24.

Officials are calling it  an open-air celebration of Canadian charm, community and fresh summer goodness and operates where the Christmas market ran in December – in the alleyway that runs behind the Green Space in downtown Elora.

Market hours are noon to 8pm on Saturdays and Sundays through September. But in July and August it will also operate on Fridays.

It features free movie matinees every Saturday and Sunday at 2pm at the Gorge Cinema.

There will also be live pipers and highland dancers to entertain on Saturdays at 4pm through June and July.

There will be food and beverages for purchase and an artisan market with a curated selection of Canadian-made goods from local vendors.
