KNIGHT, Elizabeth Mary (Betty)
89 years of age, of Fergus, Ontario, passed away on March 23rd, after a short illness in Fergus, Ontario. Wife of late Allan Goss Knight (1991). Mom of Linda Baker (Mike), Patricia Lurk (Henry) and late Richard Knight (1979). Grammy to Katreena Baker (Jonathan Millett), Zachary Lurk (Hannah Richter), and Owen Baker. Previously lived 40 years in Peterborough Ontario, past 20 years in Fergus Ontario. Betty was a busy volunteer for the Fergus Horticultural Society, Groves Memorial Hospital, Aboyne Museum, and Saint John the Evangelist Anglican Church Elora. Upon moving to Highland Manor, Betty presided over Bible study group, and Residents council, also enjoying gardening and fashion shows. Betty will be remembered for her creativity, poetry, charity, and many acts of kindness. Visitation will be held at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home, Fergus on Friday, April 4th at 10:30am. Funeral service at 12:00 noon, reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Canadian Diabetes Foundation, Fergus Horticultural Society, Groves Memorial Hospital. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Dr. Mark Easterbrook, his colleagues, staff and the special Nurses of the third floor “blue” ward at Groves Memorial Hospital.
