MOUNT FOREST – Little Black Dress Affair committee members recently presented Cancer Patient Services Corporation (CPSC) and the Louise Marshall Hospital Foundation with a cheque for $14,917, thanks to their hugely successful ladies-only fall soiree.

On Sept. 16, about 150 ladies pulled out their favourite black dresses for an evening of dinner, dancing and philanthropy during the 7th Annual Little Black Dress Affair.

Held at the Mount Forest and District Sports Complex, the Little Black Dress Affair included a full buffet-style dinner, cocktail bar, photo booth, music, dancing and both live and silent auctions.

The event is held annually in support of two local organizations, with all proceeds supporting the Louise Marshall Hospital Foundation and Cancer Patient Services. Each organization received $7,458 from this year’s proceeds.

Receiving the cheque on behalf of the Louise Marshall Hospital Foundation was development officer Amy Van Huss.

Van Huss says that the Little Black Dress Affair’s donation will be directed towards priority capital equipment needs at the hospital.

President Maureen Dineen accepted on behalf of CPSC.

Cancer Patient Services offers transportation and other support services to cancer patients in the Mount Forest area.
