WELLINGTON COUNTY – A total of nine confirmed cases of COVID-19 are being reported across the Upper Grand District School Board (UGDSB) and Wellington Catholic District School Board (WCDSB) as students finish their first week back in school.

As of Sept. 10, the UGDSB is reporting seven active cases in three Guelph schools:

  • three at Brant Avenue Public School (one classroom closed);
  • three at Waverly Drive Public School (all classrooms remain open); and
  • one at John Galt Public School (all classrooms remain open).

WCDSB is reporting two confirmed COVID-19 cases at Bishop Macdonell Catholic High School in Guelph. The school and all cohorts remains open.

School boards note a positive case at a school does not mean the individual was exposed to COVID-19 at the school. They may have been exposed or acquired it elsewhere in the community.
