Mapleton appoints building inspector
MAPLETON – Bev Fisher has been appointed as the new building inspector and plans inspector for the Township of Mapleton.
Fisher was officially appointed during a regular meeting of council on June 10, but she started on June 2.
Previously Fisher worked as the Township of Southgate’s chief building official. In her new role Fisher will review plans, ensure building permits are in regulatory compliance, conduct site inspections and issue orders when necessary.
According to a Mapleton job posting, pay ranges from $41 to $46 per hour for 35 hours per week.
The posting describes Mapleton as an “employer of choice” due to competitive compensation, benefits and pension, plus other factors.
