MAPLETON – Cole Amy won gold with Team Ontario in the Box Lacrosse Nationals U13 in Regina, Saskatchewan from Aug. 12 to 17.

He also won a provincial gold medal with the Centre Wellington Riverhawks this summer.

On Sept. 24, Amy received a $250 bursary from the Township of Mapleton.

“It’s always great to have young people receive awards for their accomplishments and we are certainly happy as council to be able to present a little monetary support form the community for such great accomplishments in the community,” said Mayor Gregg Davidson during the meeting.
