McNEVAN, Bill

William Douglas McNevan of Listowel passed away at Listowel Memorial Hospital on Monday, September 1, 2025, in his 72nd year. Husband of Sharon (Dunford) McNevan. Father of Sonya Arksey-McNevan of Palmerston, Greg & Tash McNevan of Listowel, and Lori Tryssenaar of Stratford, and grandfather of Camden, Hudson, Alexa, Hayli, and Nolan. Son of Doug McNevan of Peterborough, and brother of Dave & Sheila McNevan of Keene, and Darlene & Bun McGuinness, Gord & Linda McNevan, Patsy McNevan, Doug McNevan, Margaret & Jed Finn, and Donna & Dave Borland, all of Peterborough. Brother-in-law of Stan & Eva Dunford of Muskoka, Kathy & Tom Johnston of Nelson, BC, Al Dunford of Uxbridge, and Bill & Eva Dunford of Lindsay.  Also sadly missed by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his mother Thelma (Wood) McNevan, and parents-in-law Floyd & Eveline (Foster-Quinlan) Dunford. Bill worked with Conestogo Agri Systems Inc. for over 25 years. He could often be found at the arena cheering on the Listowel Cyclones. He was a loyal Leafs fan through and through, and he enjoyed boating on various lakes. Bill was always keeping busy helping others with whatever was needed. He was truly everyone’s go to guy. Bill will always be remembered for his quick wit, humble demeanor and one-liners. A celebration of Bill’s life will be held at Parkview Gardens, Listowel, on Saturday, October 25, 2025 from 1:00 until 4:00pm. Memorial donations to Listowel Memorial Hospital Foundation would be appreciated, and may be made through the Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel. Online condolences may be left at www.eatonfuneralhome.ca
