McQUILLIN, Lorne Albert (Ab)

It is with broken hearts that we announce that our beloved brother Lorne Albert (Ab) McQuillin passed away peacefully at the GR Baker Memorial Hospital in Quesnel, BC. on Monday, May 6th, 2024. Ab will be sadly missed by his wife of 43 years, Mary (Bobier) McQuillin. Also loved and missed by his siblings Jim (Bonnie) McQuillin, Lorraine (Ralph) Fairweather, Richard (Barb) McQuillin, Peggy (Ron) Bauman, Betty (Bill) Girvin and Norma (Glenn) George and by his sister-in-law Marjorie Hamel. Predeceased by his loving parents Richard Carmen and Mary Alice (Murdoch) McQuillin. Ab was loved by, and will be missed by, his many nieces & nephews, cousins and friends. Through his love of square dancing, Ab met Mary at a convention in Edmonton, AB. He packed up and moved to BC to be with his new found love. He trained as a chef and spent most of his leisure time dancing, playing music and as a  square dance caller. His love of cooking became a passion at home as well as at everything from fast food restaurants to fancy dining establishments. Donations in Ab’s name may be made to the charity of your choice.
