“Zapan Mal’akh, The Dog of Canaan” went on to win the tournament of mounted combat, in which champions had to perform feats while riding a horse, such as hitting guards on their shield, collecting small rings on their spear, and hitting a training structure hard enough to fully spin it. WELLINGTON COUNTY – The Great Lakes Medieval Tournament and Faire was held on July 11 and 12 at the Everton Scout Camp. The event included various vendors, demonstrations and competitions, drawing 1,400 people over two days. The champions who competed in the tournaments acted as medieval characters.
