METZGER, Floyd

Of Palmerston passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family on Friday, December 8, 2023 at the age of 80. Beloved husband of Dianne (Bramhill) Metzger for 41 years. Father of Paul and Lisa Pinkney of Orillia, Rob and Tracy Metzger of New Lowell, Jeremy and Jill Metzger of Palmerston, and Jennifer and Bob Walter of Moorefield, Grandfather of Matthew (Kori), Brianna (Colby), Brooke, Bailey, Sebastian, and Hanna. Joshua, Charlotte, Austin, Hailey. Great grandfather of three. Brother of Shirleen Pellett and twin brother Lloyd Metzger all of Palmerston. Brother-in-law of Marion Metzger, June Metzger and David and Nancy Bramhill. Fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by his parents Gordon and Eva Metzger and brothers Ronald, Charlie, Elwood, Laverne “Benny” and Sonny. To honour Floyds wishes cremation has taken place. A private memorial service of remembrance will take place in the Heritage Funeral Home, Palmerston. Please join the family for a Celebration of Life at the Frank Lambier Legion, Branch 409, Palmerston on Saturday, January 6, 2024 from 2:00 to 5:00pm for a casual afternoon to share memories.
