Minto church hosts Canada Day celebration
MINTO – A Canada Day weekend event is planned for residents of Minto and area.
Come and hear stories in praise of Canada and give thanks to God at Knox-Calvin Church,135 Elora St., Harriston, starting at 10:30am on June 30.
Songs and stories will be shared, followed by a free barbecue lunch and a meet-and-greet in the church’s lower hall.
“Canada’s story is wrapped up in our individual and family stories, which makes the fabric of Canada so rich and our multi-cultural traditions flourish,” church officials state.
Knox/Calvin organizers are hoping there will be a warm response to the celebration and that the event may become an annual one that builds community.
