Minto remembers
MINTO – From Nov. 10 to Nov. 11 the Minto communities were paying respect to the fallen veterans.
Members of Harriston Legion Branch 296 held a small Remembrance service at the Clifford Cenotaph on Nov. 10 to honour individuals from the area who had been killed in service to their country. Approximately 30 community members braved the wet weather to observe the ceremony.
The Harriston community gathered together to remember the fallen at the Harriston Cenotaph on Nov. 11. The ceremony included a moment of silence, prayers and wreath laying.
A Remembrance Day parade marched through Palmerston on Nov. 11 filled with cadets, veterans, legion members and students. They walked to the Palmerston Cenotaph where a ceremony was held on arrival.
