Minto staff participated in Orange Shirt Day, raise funds for Cowessess First Nation
Path to reconciliation - Town of Minto staff wore orange shirts custom-made by Palmerston-based What’s the Occasion in observance of Canada’s National Day of Truth and Reconciliation on Sept. 30. The municipality worked with Melissa Buckley, a local Indigenous woman, to raise funds through the sale of shirts for the Cowessess First Nation to help search for and identify the missing and unaccounted for, to help with the journey to healing.
