Moorefield Optimist outdoor rink open for the skating season
Wellington North Fire Service helped the Arthur Optimist Club flood the outdoor rink in that community on the morning of Jan. 20 to get it set up for the skating season. Submitted photos

MOOREFIELD - The Moorefield Optimist outdoor ice rink opened for the skating season on Jan. 21. The rink will be open until lights are turned off at 10:30pm. For information on rink status visit the Moorefield Optimist Club’s Facebook page.

As of Jan. 22, the Alma Optimists outdoor skating rink is open all day long and closes at 11pm. Optimist Jeremy Morton told the Community News the rink will stay open unless the club is flooding the rink or the weather warms up.
