Mount Forest Fireworks Festival brings on the heat, spectacular light show
And they’re off - The July 21 soap box derby was one of many highlights at this year’s Mount Forest Fireworks Festival. Ten competitors raced down the Mount Forest Speedway (aka Princess Street) for a grand prize of $25. Other festival highlights last weekend included Ribfest in memory of Bill Walker, which saw attendance double to 600, the classic car show on Main Street on Saturday and, of course, the fireworks, which moved from Saturday to Sunday night due to weather conditions.
