MRI donation from Mount Forest Seniors

MOUNT FOREST - The Mount Forest Seniors meet every Wednesday afternoon to play euchre, bid euchre and other games at the Mount Forest Sportsplex. The group, which has over 100 members, was formed in 2000 and at that time were gifted a guaranteed investment certificate (GIC) from a previous seniors group that had disbanded 10 years before.

The group recently decided that instead of re-investing the GIC again, they would donate the $2,000 to the Palmerston and District Hospital MRI+  Campaign. “It was such a pleasure and a thrill to donate this money to such a great cause,” group officials state.

Palmerston and District Hospital Foundation development officer Dale Franklin, attended a recent meeting of the group to collect their donation. All seniors over 55 are welcome to join the group’s games sessions and no partner is needed.
