NIXON, Joan

At the New Groves Hospital on Friday, June 23, 2023, Joan Nixon peacefully passed away. She will be re-joining the love of her life Jack K. Nixon (2006). Dear mother of Cathy Sweeney (Dave 2022). Cherished Grandmother of Tanya and Andre, Trina and Chris. Beloved Great Grandmother of Emma and Andy, Sam and Charlie. Loving sister of Jackie and Hugh, Bob and Carol. Predeceased by daughter Jackie, her parents George and Eleanor Sharer, and sister Joy Smith. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will take place at St. James Anglican Church, 171 Queen St. E., Fergus on Saturday, July 8, 2023, at 10am, with Rev. Amy Cousineau officiating. Visitation 1 hour prior to service. Reception to follow in the Butterfly Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Joan may be made to St. James Anglican Church.
