NORRIS, Don

Peacefully and surrounded by his family on Sunday, July 7, 2024 at the age of 90. Predeceased by his cherished wife, Jean Norris (2020). Loving father of Debra (Frank) Wale, Colleen (John) Mann, and Keith (Sylvia) Norris. Dear grandfather of seven grandchildren and many beloved great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his brothers Norman and Charles. Don was a proud family man with a wonderful sense of humour. His adventurous spirit led he and his family on many road trips creating cherished memories. Don always took interest in the lives of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and loved hearing stories about their activities. He had a unique ability to connect with people, putting them at ease with his warm smile and genuine interest in their lives. Don was a natural athlete and liked to keep busy. He enjoyed meeting friends for coffee, walking groups, dancing and playing Euchre. Don’s caring spirit will live on through his family and friends. The family would like to thank Dr. Rowley and the devoted, caring nursing staff at Louise Marshall Hospital. Family and friends were fortunate to recently gather and celebrate Don’s 90th birthday; a day filled with love and good memories. As per Don’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Don’s memory may be made to Cancer Patient Services, the VON or the Louise Marshall Hospital Foundation.
