OPP respond to "a threat against" at Walmart in Fergus

Evacuated - On Nov. 19 at about 1pm Wellington County OPP officers responded to “a threat against” the Walmart on St. David Street North in Fergus. Police say the business was evacuated and nearby St. Joseph Catholic School was put into a “hold and secure” position for about one hour, until the threat was deemed not to be credible. Police would not elaborate on the nature of the threat. Anyone with information is asked to call the OPP or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or submit a tip on-line at www.csgw.tips. You may be eligible for a reward from Crime Stoppers of up to $2,000.
