DRAYTON –  With just over a month to go until Drayton’s 150th Anniversary Celebration, the village is gearing up for a memorable weekend filled with events, history and hometown pride from June 27 to 29.

This week, preparations took a festive step forward as streetlight poles throughout the village were decorated in the official celebration theme colours.

Residents and business owners are being encouraged to join the effort by decorating their homes and storefronts to show their community spirit.

Theme-coloured materials are available for purchase at Dobben’s Hardware.

“We’re thrilled with the enthusiasm building throughout Drayton,” states the Drayton 150 Celebration Committee.

“It’s heartwarming to see the town coming together to honour our shared past and celebrate our future.”

A detailed schedule of events is now available at drayton150.ca, and brochures can be found at most businesses throughout town.

With a lineup of entertainment, historical displays, a grand parade, family activities, fireworks and much more, there’s something for everyone.

“Let’s all plan to attend and make Drayton’s 150th an unforgettable celebration,” officials encourage.
