Palmerston residents organize bottle drive in support of local food bank and hospital
Supporting the community – A bottle drive organized by a group of Palmerston residents last month raised $3,600 for the Palmerston Food Bank and the Palmerston and District Hospital Foundation. Supporting the community – A bottle drive organized by a group of Palmerston residents last month raised $3,600 for the Palmerston Food Bank and the Palmerston and District Hospital Foundation. The money was forwarded through the Palmerston Lions Club to the two organizations. The Lions donated an additional $1,400 to the cause to bring the total to $5,000, which will be split evenly between the hospital foundation and the food bank.
