MINTO – The Blessings to You Thrift and Gift Stores in Palmerston recently donated $3,250 to the Grove Youth Wellness Hub.

The Palmerston Hub sees approximately 70 youth aged 12 to 26 each day.

The Hub provides wellness supports to youth in an informal comfortable way by building rapport in a safe and accessible space made just for them, officials say.

The Hub is also able to support youth in navigating community wellness, social and more formalized supports, like mental health counselling.

Between 2022-2024 the Palmerston Grove Youth Wellness Hub had over 24,000 visits, with young people identifying food insecurity as a challenge, doubling from 2022-23 to 2023-24.

Providing snacks and a hot meal each day during drop-in hours is one of the supports that the Blessings to You Centre is helping fund.
