Patriots face Barons in final

MOUNT FOREST – The Mount Forest Patriots are headed to a Provincial Junior Hockey League division final series against the rival Hanover Barons.

The Patriots bested the Kincardine Bulldogs in a five-game semi-final, with a 1-0 overtime win in game five on March 20.

The Barons, who finished atop the PJHL’s Pollock Division, bested the Fergus Whalers four games to two in the other semi-final.

Hanover posted a 36-4-0-2 regular season record, while the Patriots finished seven points behind at 32-7-3-0.

The series opens with games on March 28 at 8pm in Hanover and on March 30 at 8pm in Mount Forest.
