POPE, Charles Robert “Sonny”
Of Irish Lake, passed away peacefully at Markdale Hospital on Wednesday, November 1, 2023 in his 91st year. Beloved husband of Ruth (née Duggan) Pope of 70 years. Loving father of Debra (Doug) Meyers of Conn, Jason Pope of South River and father-in-law of Carla Peppler of Hanover. Proud Papa of Adam, Jenn, Aaron and Andrea. Lovingly remembered by his great-grandchildren. Brother of Margaret Stasyshyn and Jackie Davies. Predeceased by his daughter Lori Yaeger, son Dan Pope and sister Shirley Cox. Visitation will be held at England Funeral Home, 294 Main Street South, Mount Forest, on Friday, November 10th from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00pm. A Memorial Service will be held at First Baptist Church, 116 Fergus Street North, Mount Forest, on Saturday, November 11th at 2:00pm with visitation at the church from 1:00-1:45pm. All are welcome for refreshments and fellowship in the church hall immediately following the service.
