Poppy Project display blossoms at Elora's St. John Anglican Church
Poppy project – Members of St. John Anglican Church were working on the Poppy Project on Oct. 23. The project began at the Elora church last year, when the group created banners made of more than 7,000 hand-knitted or crocheted poppies to hang on the church for Remembrance Day. This year the project has expanded, with an additional 3,000 poppies, and banners will also be hung on the local library, several businesses and other locations around town. Working on the project, clockwise from lower left, are: Garry Cantlon, Jeff Ostic, Barb Dunsmore, Mark Haslett and Rod Murray. Photos by Patrick Raftis
