Pride decorations damaged in separate incidents in Palmerston
PALMERSTON – Police now say there have been two separate incidents of vandalism involving Pride decorations here this month.
On June 11, Wellington County OPP officials issued a press release stating that sometime between the evening of June 9 and the afternoon of June 10, someone spray painted rainbow fabric decorating light posts along Main Street West in Palmerston.
Three days later, on June 14, the OPP announced there was "a second mischief along Main Street" in Palmerston that occurred a week prior to the June 9/10 incident.
"On [June 2 at about 2:45pm], Pride decorations that wrapped light posts were cut," the OPP stated on June 14.
Police say they want to identify four white males seen on Main Street at the time. They are described as:
- short, average build, aged 15 to 20, with short dark hair, wearing a blue plaid shirt and glasses;
- tall, thin, aged 15 to 20, with short dark hair, wearing a dark blue plaid shirt;
- average height, average build, aged 15 to 20, with short dark hair, wearing a two-tone (beige front, white back) trucker hat, and black T-shirt; and
- tall, average build, aged 15 to 20, with short brown hair, wearing a tri-tone (dark blue/light blue/white) polo shirt.
