PRYDE, Bettie Jo (née McDougall)
With great sadness the Pryde family must announce the passing of our cherished mum. In her 98th year, Bettie passed peacefully at Eden House Continuing Care on Christmas Day. Raised in Metz, Ontario, Bettie is predeceased by her beloved husband of 71 years, Cameron Pryde (2020) and her loving parents Roy McDougall & Irma Kemp-Welch. Forever cherished by her children, Leigh & Laurel Pryde, Doug & Cathy Pryde, Marilyn & Tom Hanthorn and Ken Pryde. She was the very best granny to Karen Murray, Derek & Katie Pryde, Julie & Kevin Larocque, Carolyn & Michael Craig, Tim & Jess Booker, and great-grandchildren Hailey, Finley, Aiden, Dylan and Taylor. Dear sister to Clinton McDougall (Anna 2024), Shirley Shaw (Jim) and sister-in-law to Marlene Pryde (Don 2024). Mum was so many things all wrapped up in a bow! She was a piano player, baker, knitter, crocheter, quilter, gardener, reader and homemaker extraordinaire. Sincere thanks to the kind and caring staff at Heritage River Retirement and Eden House Continuing Care. A very heartfelt thank you to Christine, PSW with Right at Home, for the personal care and warm friendship she provided to Bettie this past year. A private family gathering will take place at a later date.
