WELLINGTON COUNTY – Public health officials are urging anyone who has not yet received their first COVID-19 vaccine dose to get a shot as soon as possible.

And starting on June 28, those individuals can do so by simply dropping in to a Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health (WDGPH) vaccination clinic.

Anyone aged 12 or older can visit one of the following clinics during scheduled hours:

  • West End Recreation Centre in Guelph;
  • Centre Wellington Community Sportsplex in Fergus; and
  • Alder Recreation Centre  in Orangeville.

"Residents who visit one of these clinics for their first dose should let the staff know they are there for a 'first dose drop-in appointment'," states a June 25 press release from WDGPH.

"If no appointments are available that day, clinic staff will book an appointment for the next available date."
