REDDY, Elaine Jean (Ellah)

Passed away peacefully but unexpectedly on Monday, October 16, 2023, at Guelph General Hospital. Elaine was born 72 years ago in Windsor, Ontario, and has been a long-time resident of New Hamburg, Ontario. Cherished and loving mother of Karen and husband Chris Buhlman, grandmother of Emma Buhlman and boyfriend Luke. She will be missed by brother Terry Ellah and wife Diane. She will be fondly remembered by her friend Craig Thomas. A special thank you to dear friends and family; Tracey Gough, Vic and Kelly Rocha and Jeanette and Ken Oakley for you care and compassion during this difficult time. Elaine is predeceased by her parents Harold and Mabel (Colledge) Ellah, brother Michael Ellah in infancy, first husband Timothy Oakley and second husband Edward Reddy. Elaine enjoyed playing darts at the New Hamburg Legion. She was heavily involved in the figure skating community in her early years as her daughter Karen grew up skating. She was an avid crafter and enjoyed her time spent with family and friends. Cremation has taken place, and all were welcome to a come and go visitation with the family on Friday, October 20, 2023, at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron Street, New Hamburg, from 6 – 8pm. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations would be accepted to Guelph General Hospital – ICU or the New Hamburg Legion Branch 532 and can be done through the funeral home.
