ELORA – The Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum’s Lancaster bomber flew from Hamilton to Goderich on June 14, and the Elora Legion got to be part of the festivities.

The Second World War plane once lived in Goderich as a war memorial, but was acquired by the museum in the 1970s and restored over more than a decade.

It was greeted by a significant crowd as it returned to Goderich on the weekend, 60 years after it first landed there.

The Elora Legion provided a colour party in honour of the occasion.
