Seedy Saturday a success
More seeds please – The CW Seedy Saturday event, held in Aboyne Hall at the Wellington County Museum and Archives, had a great turnout with many vendors including Arthur Greenhouses, Backyard Seed Savers, Chawin’s Workshop, Colleen’s Garden Signs, Ever Smiles Gardens, Gerrie’s Garden Centre, Hawthorn Farm Organic Seeds, LittleTree Garden Market, Nancy’s Creations & Seeds, Root Rescue, Seeds of Imbolc, Whiffletree Farm & Nursery, and Worm Wrangler. There were also live workshops being held on saving and storing seeds, starting seeds, and vermicomposting. Photos by Nicole Beswitherick

ABOYNE – The Elora and Salem, and Fergus and District Horticultural Societies hosted their fifth annual Centre Wellington Seedy Saturday event on March 16. Diverse vendors of seeds and garden supplies, as well as community groups and advisory services, were in attendance.

Crafts – While parents and guardians took a look at garden-related booths, a kids craft table was set up in the corner to entertain children who attended.
Fiona Mason and Claude Lacroix have fun welcoming people into the CW Seedy Saturday event.
