SMITH, Orythia “Jane” (Emmett)
Born July 19, 1946 in Toronto On, passed away peacefully next to her husband on March 14, 2024. Jane was lovingly raised by James and Ruth Emmett along with her siblings Jim and Louise. Jane married her love George “Bryan” Smith. Together they raised their two beautiful daughters, Andrea and Alison, in Elora On. For the past 25 yrs Jane has been our “Gran” to James, Amelia, Cameron, and Ellanore. Enjoying her grandchildren was everything to her. Together they will nurture her memory. Orythia Jane touched the lives of too many to list. If you have met her, you are one of them. A small private gathering to celebrate her life will be held at the end of April. In the words of EE Cummings “i carry your heart (i carry it in my heart)”.
