Store employees test positive
ARTHUR – Local Foodland operators report they are following public health protocols after three employees at the downtown store tested positive for COVID-19.
A Jan. 8 post on the store’s Facebook page indicates the employees last worked at the store on Dec. 31 and Jan. 2.
“All measures recommended by public health when positive cases occur have been implemented fully and are complete,” local Foodland officials state.
“We have been in touch with our teammates to ensure they are well cared for and we are supporting them throughout their recovery.”
The post notes that when an employee tests positive for COVID-19, public health’s directions are followed and there are clear protocols in place.
The post also notes the store ensures mask usage at all times and strives to maintain physical distancing for employees and customers.
“We conduct our own internal investigation into contact that may have occurred between the employee and other team members and if we deem any have been in close contact, we require them to self-isolate out of abundance of caution,” officials state.
“As an essential service in communities across Canada, our top priority is to keep our customers and our teammates safe. Our location is open and continues to diligently follow public health-approved cleaning, hygiene and operations, doing all we can to keep our customers and employees healthy.”
