NORTH WELLINGTON - Two Guelph residents face charges after a vehicle caught fire July 29 on Jones Baseline, south of Arthur and northwest of Fergus.

According to Wellington County OPP, a vehicle veered off the road, landed in a ditch and caught fire.

The driver, an unnamed 26-year-old Guelph resident, who escaped the car, has been charged by police for driving carelessly and for driving with a learner's licence, but without a qualified driver.

The vehicle owner, an unnamed 27-year-old Guelph resident, later arrived at the scene and was charged for not having insurance on the vehicle, and for allowing it to be driven by someone without the right licence.
