Two drivers taken to trauma centre after serious crash in Mapleton
MAPLETON – Two drivers were seriously injured – one of them ejected from their vehicle – in a crash near Alma on Thursday morning.
Emergency crews responded to the two-vehicle collision, on Wellington Road 17 between Wellington Road 8 and 3rd Line, on Feb. 27 at about 6:30am.
"Both drivers from the vehicles have sustained serious injuries, and have been since been transported to a trauma centre," stated a Wellington County OPP press release.
Police noted one of the drivers was ejected from their vehicle.
An investigation is ongoing and the road was expected to remain closed "for a number of hours," the OPP stated.
