President Marion Derbecker welcomed Rev. Jennifer Mountain and nine members of the Clifford Pastoral Charge United Church Women (UCW) to the annual general meeting on recently at Knox United Church here.

Alieda Murray thanked her for her inspiring leadership during her term as president.

The budget was discussed with goals set for the new year. Reports were given regarding Unit 3, Unit 5, and Supply and Welfare.

The ladies felt the loss of Dorothy Domm, Muriel Newman, Ann McIntosh and Elva Wylie’s passing and miss others who moved to nursing homes.

The group has chosen to combine their units and become one UCW. They will continue to host work meetings in February and March to tie quilts, trim cancelled postage stamps, and save greeting card fronts for nursery schools.

Rev. Jennifer Mountain installed the executive members for 2017: president Marion Douglas, past president Marion Derbecker, secretary Bonnie Whitehead, treasurer Brenda Cummings, supply and welfare Elaine Field and Brenda Cummings and in memoriam officer Marion Wylie.
