FERGUS – Ten years ago Rob Eccelstone started an event that has raised around $250,000.

Eccelstone, who has Parkinson’s disease, has been growing the Walk for Parkinson’s ever since.

This year’s event, on Sept. 6, was again held at the Centre Wellington Community Sportsplex in Fergus.

Eccelstone said he would like to thank all the businesses who donated over 70 items for the event.

With lots of family and volunteers behind him, he is grateful to still be able to draw people to the event.
