WALKER, Melvin (Mel)

In the afternoon of August 31st, in his 81st year, Mel passed away peacefully at his home, in the Moorefield area.Born June 1942 in Guelph, to the late Wilfred and Mae Walker. Mel will be greatly missed by his devoted wife of 42 years, Patricia, along with his many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Survived by his brother Murray (Karen), his sister Marilyn (Joe) and predeceased by his sister Meridth (Rosaire). Mel was a quiet man, with a heart as big as he was, with a great sense of humour. He enjoyed nature, the outdoors, animals, and believed in pet rescue. Mel loved motorcycles and rode all of his life, up until the age of 78. He also had a love of antique classic cars, hot rods as well as an interest in antique radios and collectibles. Cremation has taken place, and the burial will take place at a later date, in a private gathering of family and friends. Donations in memory of Mel can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, or the Upper Credit Humane Society.
