After a deferral from its April 13 meeting, Erin council went forward with a decision to install a water bottle filling and drinking station in McMillan Park.

Water superintendent Joe Babin presented an updated report on April 24, recommending a blue Elkay model with a cost of $10,704, including purchase, shipping and installation.

The other option from Haws, cost $12,263.

The project, which is expected to be installed by the end of June, is funded through the Nestlé Waters Canada voluntary levy.

Vote

Councillor Matt Sammut was the only one who voted against the recommendation, saying, “I’m against that specific model and that specific colour, yes.”
