Waterloo Wellington Alzheimers Society raises $145,000 accross four walks

GUELPH – The Waterloo Wellington Alzheimer Society held a Walks for Alzheimers in Guelph, Mount Forest, Cambridge and Kitchener on May 24.

Overall, the four walks raised $144,824 as of May 29, but officials note "We still have to count all the cash we received on Saturday and we are accepting donations for this event until the end of June, so we won't know the grand total for a bit."

The Guelph walk took place at Exhibition Park and the top individual fundraiser was Aiden MacNeill, who raised $2,216.

The team that raised the most was the Guelph Unforgettables, bringing in $16,251. Its team members were Nadine Lamothe (team Ccptain), Sue Desautels, Marie Karn, Sandra Martin, Janice McDermott, Louisa Dupre, John McDonough, Eleanor McDonough, Diane Glassman, Nolan Pisciuneri and Claire Pisciuneri.
