Whites Road Pentecostal Church women’s retreat held at The St. Ignatius Deemerton Retreat Centre

HARRISTON – The women’s retreat for Whites Road Pentecostal Church in Harriston was held at The St. Ignatius Deemerton Retreat Centre outside of Mildmay from Oct. 17 to 19. The theme was “Seasons in this Season.” The worship leader was Kerry Grant of Hanover. Pastor Melissa McLaren of Bethel Stratford prepared four sessions that officials say meaningfully taught and challenged the 25 women of all ages in attendance. Organizers Heidi Sargeant, Meagan Sumner and Rita Ammerman prepared extra activities and meals. In one of the sessions McLaren asked the participants to read and compare Psalm 1:1-3 and Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 and then ask themselves, “Which spiritual discipline do you find easy to do and what spiritual disciplines can you build into your life more in this season?”
