MOUNT FOREST – Wellington Heights Secondary School performed a Zombie Prom musical on May 30, 31, and June 1.

The play was coordinated and directed by WHSS Drama teacher Charlotte Ristich and community volunteer Amy Timberlake, with help from vocal coach and former Canadian Idol winner Theo Tams.

The musical is set in the 1950s and tells the forbidden love story of Jonny Warner, the bad boy, and Toffee Little, the beautiful head-turner.

The set, program, posters and costumes were designed and created by students in Ristich’s drama production class.

A crew of students worked from behind the scenes to assist with lighting and sound, led by community volunteer and former student Darren Cherrey-Elliott.
