Of Mount Forest, went home to be with her Lord at Louise Marshall Hospital on Sunday, November 6, 2022. Marnie was predeceased by her first husband, Birss Alexander (1977), and second husband, Fred Wichers (2013). Loving mother of Glen Alexander & wife Joanne, Wanda Wilson & husband Randy, Margaret Balfoort & husband Luuk, Henry Wichers & wife Lynn, Fred Wichers & wife Nikki, and Judy Wichers. Loving grandmother of Ginny Alexander (Mike), Shane Wilson (Steffi), Jeff Wilson (Melissa), Tracey Matthews (Scott), Micheal Balfoort (Lori), Paul Balfoort (Shannon), Melody Dekorte (Jason), John Balfoort (Danielle), Greg Balfoort (Shelagh), Peter Balfoort, Ryan Wichers (Christine), Chris Wichers (Kat), Jillian Schroeder (Mike), Rebecca Stewart (Rob), Brittany Walton (Chris), and Breanna Martel. Missed by 38 great-grandchildren. Survived by sisters Mary Sivill and Ethel Gillies, cousin Dariel Bateman, and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sister Betty Sivill, brother Bill Ramsbottom, sister-in-law Marianne Ramsbottom, brothers-in-law Fred Sivill, Don Gillies and Robert Sivill. Marnie was an incredible mother – dedicated to her family. She gave freely of her time, always welcomed visitors for dinner, shared her knowledge and love of canning and preserves, baking and so much more. Her passions included quilting and knitting – creating beautiful pieces for her family as well as Missions through her church. The funeral service will be held at Faith Baptist Church, 485 King Street East, Mount Forest, on Monday, November 14, 2022 at 11:00am, with visitation at the church from 10:00-10:45am. Interment at Mount Forest Cemetery. If you are unable to attend the service in person, you are invited to view livestream by visiting the England Funeral Home Facebook Page. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Marnie are asked to consider the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Louise Marshall Hospital Foundation. Arrangements entrusted to the England Funeral Home, Mount Forest.
