WOODHOUSE, Kenneth Peter Leonard

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Kenneth “Ken” Woodhouse on Sunday, June 15, 2025, at Caressant Care in Arthur, surrounded by his loving family. He was 89 years old. Ken was the beloved husband of Nettie for 63 wonderful years, a testament to their enduring love and partnership. He was a devoted father to Pam Hickman (Kevin) and Ray Woodhouse (Tracey). His legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren: Rebeka Caines (Cory), Emilee Chamberlain (Chris), Sarah Hickman (Ryan), Peter Hickman (Taylor), Aleetta Woodhouse (Eric), Meriah Woodhouse (Jake), Sabrina Woodhouse (Cameron), and Jacob Woodhouse (Haley). He was also a proud great-grandfather to Miles, Owen, Carter, Elodie, and Louise. Ken will be deeply missed by his brother John Woodhouse and sister Laura Hargrave, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends. For over 40 years, Ken dedicated himself to his work at James Wilson and Son Mill in Fergus. Outside of his professional life, he found joy in sports, particularly curling, baseball, and golf. He was a familiar face on the local greens and rinks, enjoying the camaraderie and friendly competition. The family extends a special thank you to the compassionate staff at Caressant Care in Arthur for their exceptional care and support during Ken’s final days. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home, 280 St. David St. S, Fergus (519-843-3100), on Saturday, June 28, 2025, from 10:30am to 11:30am. A Funeral Service will follow in the chapel at 11:45am. Following the service, guests are invited upstairs to the Wellington Room for a time of fellowship and refreshments; elevator access is available. A private interment will take place at Belsyde Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer Society, Melville United Church, or St. Joseph’s Health Centre’s Day Out Program.
